You need to check engine code of donor’s vehicle and match it with your VIN. Most listings now show exact details, even photos. Don’t just trust ‘it fits’ claims, you need to double check codes before you pay.

If the engine fails, you need a backup alternative. Warranties mean you can send it back or get a replacement. Without one, you’re stuck with a dead piece of metal.
